When you run a latest GitHub rear development snapshot
you must look at the latest git logs which contain:

Author: Johannes Meixner <jsmeix at suse.com>

added check for vaild BACKUP_URL schemes
     see https://github.com/rear/rear/issues/842
currently 'nfs' 'cifs' 'usb' 'tape' 'file' 'sshfs' are valid
according to the comment in 05_check_NETFS_requirements.sh
-----------------------------------------------------------------

You can fix it locally for you in your
usr/share/rear/prep/NETFS/default/05_check_NETFS_requirements.sh

I will fix it soon in GitHub rear master, cf
