This issue should be fixed in the meantime. Just try out the lasted
development version and if it is still a problem open an issue at
github.

Thanks for reporting.

Hi

It's been a long time. I'm getting back
on the horse with 1.6.1 and came across a couple of disturbing things
straight away doing a "rear checklayout" on an HP server with integrated
HW RAID controller:

 Rear says, incorrectly, in hpraid-config.tmp

Smart Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded)

 array A
 logicaldrive 1
(136.7 GB, RAID 1, OK)

 array B
 logicaldrive 2 (465.7 GB, RAID 1,
OK)

 physicaldrive 1I:1:1 (port 1I:box 1:bay 1, SAS, 146 GB, OK)

physicaldrive 1I:1:2 (port 1I:box 1:bay 2, SAS, 146 GB, OK)

physicaldrive 1I:1:3 (port 1I:box 1:bay 3, SATA, 500 GB, OK)

physicaldrive 1I:1:4 (port 1I:box 1:bay 4, SATA, 500 GB, OK)

 Wow, is
that ever wrong. hpacucli, run manually, reports correctly:

 Smart
Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded) (sn: 50014380105752D0)

 array A (SAS,
Unused Space: 0 MB)

physicaldrive 1I:1:2 (port 1I:box 1:bay 2, SAS, 146 GB, OK)

 array B
(SATA, Unused Space: 0 MB)
 logicaldrive 2 (465.7 GB, RAID 1, OK)

physicaldrive 1I:1:3 (port 1I:box 1:bay 3, SATA, 500 GB, OK)

physicaldrive 1I:1:4 (port 1I:box 1:bay 4, SATA, 500 GB, OK)

 I alsio
asked ReaR to ignore two mountpoints: (/disk1, disk2) but
checklayout.conf reports partition information for the disks underlying
these mountpoints, which are merely directories on / (/dev/sda2)
Remaking these partitions on recover would be disastrous because the
data on these volumes wouldn't have been Rear'd (i rsnapshot them
daily). Perhaps this came as a result of misjudging the HW LVs
