Obviously, you didn't check if you already have rear installed and - if
so - which version it is. Before installing the new rpm, you may want to
uninstall the previous version by issuing

# rpm -e rear

Where you got rear-1.14-3 from, I cannot say - in the spec file, the
version ist 1.14-1.
