IMHO that is the only correct way - rear is a disaster
recovery tool
not a solid backup/restore solution. Real backup solutions
also take
care of ACL etc...
I'm not convinced that we should fix everybody
problems. If we can
give a solid (and trustworthy) basis then it is a
success already...
